As January unfolds, I’ve found myself sitting with one word — not as a goal, but as an intention:
Wholeness.
Not perfection.
Not doing more.
Not fixing what’s broken.
Wholeness feels quieter than that.
For many of us — especially those who care deeply, who serve, who hold space for others (including animals) — it’s easy to live in pieces.
One part for work.
One part for caregiving.
One part for healing.
One part we keep tucked away because life asked us to be strong for too long.
Wholeness asks something different.
It asks:
What if nothing essential about you is missing?
What if integration matters more than improvement?
What if this season isn’t about becoming someone new — but about coming home to yourself?
I notice how often we measure our lives by what we haven’t done yet, instead of honoring the depth of what we’ve already lived through.
Wholeness honors the full story.
The joy and the grief.
The clarity and the confusion.
The faith that flickered — and the faith that quietly stayed.
As we move through this year, I’m not asking myself how much more I can accomplish.
I’m asking how fully I can be present in what’s already here.
In my body.
In my relationships.
In my work.
In the ways I give — and the ways I allow myself to receive.
If you find yourself in transition…
If you’re redefining purpose…
If you’re rebuilding trust with yourself, with God, or with life…
Know this: wholeness doesn’t rush.
It gathers.
It integrates.
It gently remembers what matters.
Wherever this year meets you, may it meet you whole — not because everything is perfect, but because you are willing to be present with all of it.
With care,
Kate
PS: If you missed my New Year's Meditation - you can replay it below.
This Is My Gift to YouÂ
This meditation, Anchored in God, is offered as a gentle place to rest.
Before you press play, take a moment to get comfortable. Let your shoulders soften. Allow yourself to arrive just as you are — no fixing, no striving, no expectations.
If you’d like, you may choose to work with an essential oil as a quiet support during the meditation:
Frankincense for presence and spiritual connection
Myrrh for reflection and sacred stillness
Fir for grounding, strength, and trust
Simply inhale gently, place a diluted drop on your wrists or heart space, or hold the intention of the oil as you listen.
Oils are optional. Your breath and presence are enough.
May this be a moment where you feel held, supported, and anchored in what is true.
